YOUR COMMUNITY

BIRSCHBACH & Associates has worked on a wide range of projects in many various communities and congregations over the past twenty years. We pride ourselves in being able to clearly understand the background of the congregations, for both its history and relationship with the community. Many master plans will take your heritage very seriously in determining what steps need to be made to ensure continued growth for your church while meeting existing needs of your parishioners. The following examples show how we considered those variables.

GEOGRAPHIC CONSIDERATIONS
(4)
St. John Nepomucene Parish, in Little Chute, Wisconsin, determined after a master plan and feasibility study that their influence in the community would remain stronger by staying at their current downtown location, rather than relocating to a new site, despite an increased cost to remain at their current site. To accomplish this, a street will need to be closed and BIRSCHBACH & Associates is working with the village to meet  their needs.

URBAN CONSIDERATIONS
(5)
Holy Cross Parish in Kaukauna, Wisconsin has a large senior community in their parish. After an initial review of adding a carport and ADA accessibility, BIRSCHBACH & Associates and Holy Cross realized they also needed a gathering space. Since they are located on a corner in an urban area, the solution had to be carefully designed to protect sightlines at an intersection. The design was also carefully detailed to match the historic character of the landmark building.

DEMOGRAPHIC CHANGES
(1)
Peace Lutheran Church near Green Bay is located in a growing area with 10 acres of land. Over the last five years, the parish has grown by over 500 members, with an average age of each member at 30.5 years old. The congregation is developing a solution that solves their needs for a larger worship area and educational facilities. BIRSCHBACH & Associates developed a solution that doubles their existing educational space and nave.
