FEATURED PROJECT

ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE PARISH

St. John Nepomucene Parish in Little Chute is one of the first parishes established in the Green Bay diocese. The landmark church sits at the highest point in the village with its steeple piercing the skyline. For this reason, the decision was made to expand the existing church at the present site rather than move to a new location. The master plan requires a street to be vacated and closed and that three adjacent properties be purchased for both building expansion and parking.

In the master plan, two 50 foot by 50 foot wings will be added on each side of the main worship space to increase the seating capacity to 1,200. The altar platform will be moved to a central location within the cruciform space created by the new wings. The existing choir and a narthex addition will be removed and a new larger gathering space, carport, and prayer garden will be added. The lower portion of the bell tower will become the reconciliation chapel and font.

Education and multipurpose space will be constructed in the courtyard between the church and school.
