PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH

Peace Lutheran Church (ELCA) is a rapidly growing parish on the northwest side of Green Bay. With over 1,300 members, a strong daycare program, and growing religious education program, the need for a larger facility was now. BIRSCHBACH & Associates, Ltd. role has been two-fold.

First, we conducted a space needs study. The study included interviewing various committees and groups throughout the parish to understand what needs were and were not being met by the existing facility. Second, we conducted a site selection survey. We reviewed potential sites in the area, considering lot size, cost, and improvements, to determine the cost of building on a new site or adding to the existing building, if possible. After review, the parish decided to remain at their existing site and build a significant addition, that more than doubles their current facility from 17,548 sf to over 38,467 sf.

The project began construction in June 2004 and was dedicated January 9, 2005.
